Kari Partanen

Kari Partanen (M.Ed) is a Coordinator of the Degree Programme in Sport and Leisure Management at Kajaani University of Applied Sciences in Kajaani, Finland. He is responsible for the study programme and also has a key role (International Coordinator) in developing national and international partnerships for the KAMK Sport department. Mr. Partanen has been creating a SmartGym concept where students combine physical activity and games while preparing for their future professional careers. His sport specialist role in Excergaming started with the Athene projects at KAMK in 2012. Kari has 20 years of experience of coaching ice-hockey and Finnish baseball including athletes from juniors up to representative teams and he has been a ski-Instructor since 1998. He has a wide range of expertise working with children and youth and has previously worked as a primary and junior high school teacher.
